The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge’s summer Youth Corps Conservation program is currently accepting applications.
Local youth, 15-18 years of age who live or have lodging within commuting distance to the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge’s Visitor Center are encouraged to apply.
The Youth Corp Conservation is an 8 week summer hire program that includes cabin restorations, trail maintenance, bear awareness, and resource management projects.
Applications are available at the Visitors Center, the Alaska Employment Service Office in Kenai and from local high school career counseling offices.
The Refuge office will accept applications until April 18 at 4:30 pm.
