Construction on Porcupine Court that is impeding traffic on Kobuk Street in Soldotna should only last through today.
Traffic Control Supervisor Linda Carpenter with Alaska Roadbuilders said they are hoping to have that portion done by 7 or 8pm.
Carpenter: “So it’ll just be a single lane situation for today, it will be finished sometime today even if its like midnight we’re still out there working we’re going to be there. Once we’ve opened it up we have to finish that part of the project.”
With construction blocking both Riverside Drive and Binkley Street, Carpenter said she realizes its an inconvenience for nearby residents.
Riverside Drive is a part of the Porcupine Court project and that portion is slated to be finished in the next week or so.
