KPB Alerts Available Through Online Registration

Recent alerts issued by the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) have again raised questions regarding when alerts are issued and who receives the KPB alerts.

 

According to the OEM after the resent KPB alert dealing with an incident in the Funny River area, “the alert was sent specifically to areas within the Central Peninsula only and went out to well over 34000 contacts.”

Messages were sent out through KPB Alerts to landlines and mobile devices.

 

KPB Alerts registration is available for mobile and landlines at https://my.kpb.us/users/sign_in to create a profile. Once signed in, you will be able to submit an Emergency Notification Registration for your device or email.  If you’ve moved away from the area and no longer need the service of KPB Alerts, please sign in to your MyKPB and use the “Start Delete Emergency Notification Contact” option.
