The Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly will hold their September 16 meeting in Homer at 6 pm.
Assembly Member Wayne Ogle said he doesn’t expect much controversy this evening.
Asm. Ogle: “We’re going to be accepting more grants, I think we accepted $6.4 millioin dollars last meeting and I think we’re continuing on with some more grants. Yeah, it’s the time of the year where the money is becoming available through the Senate’s SB 119 I believe it is, all that money’s been passed through and going to the various political districts, political levels, municipalities and now the municipalities are accepting the money being offered and that’s basically what we’re doing.”
Senate Bill 119 was the state’s capital budget which was passed on May 30 of this year.
Also on the agenda for the assembly meeting is a petition in regards to the vacation of lands near Twins Road by Weaver Subdivision part seven and a quarterly report for the South Peninsula Hospital.
Those who cannot attend the meeting in Homer can listen online.
