The 44th Annual Kenai Peninsula Builders Assoc. Home Show kicks off in Soldotna at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex this weekend.
Lara McGinnis, Home Show Coordinator, says this year’s theme is “Level Up.”
“Level up what you’re doing. If you’re looking at a do-it-yourself project, there are people there to talk to, there’s access to supplies and materials and all of those questions. If you are looking at a project that’s beyond what you can do for yourself, there is an expert that’s going to be in the house to help you from dirt work to roofing to trusses to building your entire home or even just designing it.” Says McGinnis.
Every year, the Home Show connects KPBA members and other vendors with the general public and the Kenai Peninsula community.
According to the KPBA website, over 3,000 people attend the Home Show annually.
McGinnis, says they have sold in terms of vendors. “Which means I’ve got over 100 vendors, builders and people in the building industry that are all going to be at the Sports Center ready to answer all of those questions.”
There will be door prizes, drawings every half hour, and an assortment of giveaways, from cash, coolers, and children’s bikes.
Entry fees are $5 for adults, while youth, senior citizens, and active-duty military are $4. Children 12 and under may attend for free.
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Apr. 12th, and close at 6:00 p.m., then again on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
