KPBSD Conducting Survey Until Monday

Author: Jason Lee |

After what any observer could classify as an “unconventional” school year in 2020, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District is looking to students, parents, and guardians for insight. The aim is to not only better-understand the experiences of students and families during the end of the 2020 school year, but also to plan for a great start to the 2021 school year.

Pegge Erkeneff of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District says that families of students have been e-mailed information that is important to engage with: “All of our teams and parents and guardians for all students in the district are asked to take the survey. We’re hoping for 5,000 responses by Monday, June 8. So, please check the link in the e-mail that I’m sending. Your responses will help plan our Smart Start in August. There’s also a link for our new Sources For Strength family tool kit, with 30 pages of wonderful reflections and activities for people of all ages. You can download that for free. You’ll hear from us occasionally through the summer with important details about our Smart Start and activities, as well as what’s happening.”

Families who have not received the e-mail can click here to take the survey.

The overall data will be used to identify the needs families in the district. KPBSD asks each individual to consider not only completing the survey but also pushing it out to all concerned via e-mail, websites, social media platforms, and any other available networks.
