Three candidates to fill the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Superintendent job have been selected to participate in a public meet-and-greet on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. It will be a virtual event hosted by Pegge Erkeneff of KPBSD.
The three 30 minute sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, hosted on the board’s online livestream channel. Archived videos will be posted later by 2:00 p.m. for those who cannot attend live. KPBSD provided a schedule for the sessions:
- 10:00 a.m. Dr. Jason R. Johnson | Application and resume packet

A community input survey will then open up for anyone in the community to provide input to the school board, which will stop accepting submissions at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
The school board will be performing hour-long interviews with the candidates which will be livestreamed on Tuesday, January 26, before they go into an executive session to decide which candidate will be offered the position.
Whichever candidate emerges as the final selection will take the reigns from retiring Superintendent John O’Brien on July 1.
