Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Superintendent John O’Brien will be presenting a preview of the upcoming 2020 school year and what’s in store for the district at the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Wednesday.

Superintendent O’Brien plans to offer information on budget, and more: “I’ll be presenting at the Soldotna chamber meeting on what to look forward to for 2020 for the school district, with Juneau, the budget, all things education. So, I look forward to being at the Soldotna chamber meeting this week.”

The chamber meeting is also going to highlight KPBSD’s Student Of The Quarter during the luncheon. Where students nominated by area schools will be celebrated for their displays of excellence and character in-school.

Shannon Davis, Executive Director of the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce: “Tomorrow, our luncheon is going to be our Student Of The Quarter luncheon. John O’Brien, the Superintendent of schools, is going to be honoring five different kids from our area schools, and there’s still time to sign up for that if you’d like to attend.”

The luncheon will start at noon, on January 22, at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex, and is open to the public.  An RSVP is required for those planning to eat at the event.  To RSVP call 262-9814.
