Today the Kenai Peninsula College launched their newly renovated website.
Suzie Kendrick with KPC detailed what spurred the upgrades.
Kendrick: “First and foremost reason was in this day and age of different sized screens, multiple devices, people looking at websites on screens as small as their smart phones. It’s really important to have a website that is responsive design, which means that no matter what device you are using the site will resize and maximize that particular view. It really reduces the users effective experience when they’re having to pan and enlarge and read to the end of a sentence and scroll back, that was the impetus to get this thing going.”
She said that the website has been a work in progress since early last summer and this revision was built from the mobile down versus from the desktop up.
