The Kenai Peninsula College’s process technology program has been certified and endorsed by the North America Process Technology Alliance.
Suzie Kendrick with KPC said the Kenai River Campus and Anchorage extension site are now one of 17 colleges in North America to receive that endorsement.
Kendrick: “It lends some confidence to our industry partners that the students who complete our program and who aspire to be Alaska’s future work force in the oil and gas industry are as well prepared as possible. So that’s something that we are extremely proud of and I think it will go a long way.”
She added that it also gives students confidence that they are getting some of the top training possible when they choose KPC’s process technology program.
NAPTA conducted a year long audit of teaching techniques at KPC and the extension site to ensure the programs met the appropriate criteria.
