The Kenai Police Department continues to follow leads from community members in the case of Iva “Mitzi” Berninger who was labelled a missing person last week.
Lieutenant Dave Ross says friends and family are working with officers to investigate reports that Berninger has been seen around Kenai since December 11.
She was last seen at her home and Lt. Ross asked community members to keep an eye out for a woman matching this description…
Lt. Ross: “The current description we have for Mitzi is about 5 foot, 5 inches tall, about 158 pounds, blonde hair, and brown eyes.”
He says friends and family are concerned for her well-being but her residence does not indicate any foul play is involved.
KPD encourages anyone with information of her whereabouts or even if you’ve had interactions with her since December 11, to call Kenai dispatch at 283-7879.
