At the September 16 joint chamber luncheon the Kenai Peninsula Tourism Marketing Council drew winners of its Dodge Ram 1500 along with other prizes.
KSRM spoke with Executive Director Shanon Hamrick before the drawing, she said about 500 people had purchased tickets throughout the Kenai Peninsula.
Soldotna resident Mike Erstrom was drawn as the winner for the truck and said he had purchased the tickets at a Brown Bears Hockey Game just days before the drawing. He said he was really just looking at the tickets as a way to donate money but was thrilled to learn he had won.
Jo A. Earles of Homer won the recreational kayak and truck rack and said she had been looking to buy a kayak for a number of years.
