The Nikiski girls defeated three ranked teams to earn the championship at the Grace Grizzly Hardwood Tournament at Grace Christian School; the Bulldog girls downing Sitka 47-28 in the title game.

The tournament field included three of the 3A girls top five ranked teams: Sitka, Nikiski and Kotzebue; and the #3 ranked 2A Point Hope girls.

The Bulldogs defeated all three in the three-day, bracketed tournament.

Nikiski 47 – Sitka 28

Bethany Carstens scored 26 and the Bulldog defense allowed a tournament-low 28 points.  Nikiski held Sitka scoreless in the first quarter.
