Students of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District will have an abbreviated day this Friday.
School will end an hour and a half early on May 1 and bus schedules have been adjusted for the early release day.
Erkeneff: “And those are days when students actually have a shorter day by 90 minutes but teachers maximize the school day and work on collaborating and improving teacher’s teaching skills and work with one another in order to provide a better educational experience for our students.”
Spokeswoman Pegge Erkeneff said the district plans to review the efficiency and effectiveness of these scheduled days at the end of the school year.
This is the last scheduled early release day for this school year.
