Letters To Santa Holiday Tradition Returns At Central Peninsula Hospital

For all the boys and girls on the Peninsula who are looking for a spot to mail their letters to Santa, Central Peninsula Hospital announced on Wednesday, Dec. 11, the return of their annual holiday tradition, “Letters to Santa.”

This event welcomes children of all ages to share their Christmas wishes with Santa and even receive a letter in return.

The red mailbox, located in the lobby of the Mountain Tower, is dedicated to collecting all letters written to Santa.

According to Jim Childers, the Volunteer & Community Services Manager, this tradition started about seven years ago, and the hospital is excited to continue it for another year.

“Santa gave the volunteers here at the hospital magical mailboxes that would automatically transport those letters straight to the North Pole. And Santa Claus directly answers. He just asked that you have your name, your age, and your address so that he can return the letters that he writes back,” said Childers.

Childers did want to remind the little ones that it does get extremely busy before Christmas, so the deadline to write a letter to Santa and receive a personalized letter back is December 20th. Just be sure to include the child’s name, age, and address!

So, join the Central Peninsula Hospital in writing letters to Santa and making this Christmas one to remember!
