Two Soldotna Star athletes signed collegiate Letters of Intent on Wednesday morning at Soldotna High School, committing to participation in college-level athletics following graduation.
Melvin Lloyd, member of three SoHi football state championship teams and 2019 Northern Lights Conference Lineman of the Year, signed to play football for the Gila River Hawks Junior College Football Team. Gila River plays in the Hohokam Junior College Athletic Conference.
Ryann Cannava, member of the 2019 ASAA State Soccer Runner-Up and Peninsula Conference champions for SoHi and a 1st team All-Peninsula Conference selection, signed her letter of intent to play soccer at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. Clark is in the Northwest Athletic Conference, the largest community college conference in the United States.
