The 2014 Homer Invitational Swimming and Diving Meet featured all of the major players in Region III swimming, including the reigning girls and boys champion Kodiak Bears.
The Bears again proved to be the top team; challenged by the Soldotna girls and the Colony boys.
The Soldotna swimming and diving team posted a combined second place to the Bears. The SoHi girls finished as runner-up to Kodiak, the SoHi boys were third behind the Bears.
SoHi’s Alex Weeks won a two individual events for the Stars, winning the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.85 and the 500 freestyle in 5:33.00. SoHi’s Megan English won the 100 backstroke in 1:05.09.
The Soldotna girls recorded one relay victory, winning the 200 medley relay in 2:00.77; with Portia Padilla, Rachel Henry, Megan English and Alex Weeks.
