Arts that take to the stage have suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic, with theatres, orchestras, and ballets across the globe having to cease production of their performances all year. Some groups are making adjustments to retain their regular audiences, while also being available to new folks. Among those is the TBA Theatre, who will be streaming a series of holiday performances online.

TBA, based in Anchorage, stands for Training Better Artists, and according to their website, their aim is to give artists of all ages opportunities for growth.

While many traditional holiday productions have been halted worldwide, TBA Theatre is taking their stage shows to a free online streaming option.

Their holiday shows begin with a stage version of A Christmas Carol, performed as a one-man show. It will stream on December 17 and 19 at 7:00 p.m. It will also stream December 20 at 3:00 p.m.

Christmas with Laura Ingalls will be available on December 18 at 7:00 p.m., December 19 at 3:00 p.m., and December 20 at 7:00 p.m.

Finally, a new show will be streaming starting December 22 titled Can’t Cancel Christmas. The aim of the show is to reassure “even the most skeptical heart,” as the North Pole is in an uproar because Santa’s elves are afraid of Christmas being doomed by the pandemic.

The shows are free to view, but TBA is accepting donations online.
