The 2018 Lost Lake Run, run over nearly 16 miles of U.S.Forest Service trails outside of Seward, crowned individual and age group champions from the 663 runners who finished the grueling cross-country event.

Scott Patterson clocked the fastest overall time of 1 hour, 37 minutes, 33 seconds, more than a minute in front of runner-up Matt Shryock.  Patterson’s time was a little less than two minutes off the record of 1:35:16 set in 2011 by Jerry Ross.

Patterson, earlier this summer, won the Crow Pass Crossing endurance event.

Julianne Dickerson won the female division finishing ahead of Jessica Vetsch; Dickerson recorded a time of 2:03:08, placing 27th overall.

The Lost Lake Run serves as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Since the race began in 1992, the race has raised more than $2 million.
