The Kenai Chamber of Commerce has a busy week planned for chamber luncheons.
Johna Beech detailed the March 3 joint luncheon at the Kenai Visitors Center…
Beech: “Senior Judges Elaine Andrews and the Executive Director of the Alaska Judicial Council are coming down to talk about the judiciary article in the constitution of Alaska.”
Currently judicial selection is merit based and Senator Pete Kelly has introduced a joint resolution to increase the members on the judicial council.
Tomorrow’s lunch aims to discuss how that resolution would be a constitutional amendment for Alaska and how it would change the process judges are chosen.
The Kenai Chamber also has a luncheon scheduled for Wednesday on the Economic Impact Report Findings.
