Over 1,000 Wendy’s locations are facing trouble with customers who’ve had their personal information stolen.
The restaurant knows that the data stolen includes information from credit and debit card purchases. This includes cardholder name, card number, expiration date, and the 3 or 4 digit code on the back of the card. However, a card that states the cardholder service code on the front are not in imminent risk, Wendy’s has noted.
In February of this year Wendy’s reported the first case of malicious activity. However, this hack may have affected individuals who used their debit or credit card at a Wendy’s location from January 13 to June 8.
