On Saturday afternoon, Alaska State Troopers responded to reports of an aircraft collision in the Mat-Su Valley.
Both pilots were found alive and identified as 52 year-old Jeffry Bara of Eagle River and 35 year-old Alaska Wildlife Trooper Levi Duell of Anchorage.
Bara was confirmed to have been taken to Providence Alaska Medical Center but the condition of both pilots was unknown as of Sunday afternoon.
When responders found the pilots, one had serious injuries and one had moderate. There were no passengers in either plane.
The plane wreckage sites were seperate.
The National Transportation Safety Board has assigned investigators to the collision.
