MaxPreps Names Galen Brantley To Top 100 High School Coaches List

MaxPreps, self-named America’s source for high school sports providing rankings, stat leader boards, schedules and scores of high school teams and players, has released its composite list of the 2020 Top 100 High School Sports Coaches.

 

Soldotna High School’s Galen Brantley is among 17 football coaches to be honored on the Top 100 selections.

 

MaxPreps sated that “through consistent success and longevity, some coaches become the face of high school sports programs or even the school itself. It’s not all that unusual for coaches to spend 40 years at one school, leading multiple generations of athletes in a community”.

 

MaxPreps set out to identify 100 of the top high school coaches in the country, men and women who have won multiple state and national championships, set records and worked to perfect their craft over decades.

 

Top 100 High School Sports Coaches

Galen Brantley may be off to the greatest start of a career of any high school coach as his team is 125-6 since he became the head coach at Soldotna High School. His team has won 12 state championships in Alaska including a national best active streak of eight in a row.

The Stars have a current, state-best win streak of 18 games and hold the Alaska record for consecutive wins at 59.
