The high school spring sports schedule attempts to squeeze as much as possible into the final weeks of the school year, and a couple of weeks beyond in some cases.
The first weekend of May features soccer, softball, baseball and track & field.
Thursday Game Results
Leading into the weekend, Kenai recorded a 9-8 victory over SoHi in girls softball action on Thursday. Cierra King delivered a bases-loaded, RBI walk-off single for the Kardinals.
Also on Thursday, the Nikiski soccer teams opened their three day road trip in the valley with games against the Palmer Moose. Palmer won the girls varsity game 4-2 and the boys varsity game 3-1.
