Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan filed his candidacy for Lt. Gov. Thursday, May 29, afternoon while Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell declared his candidacy for U.S. Senate Wednesday, May 28.
Sullivan is in his second and final term as Anchorage’s Mayor and said that he looks forward to being in the Governor’s cabinet and rallying for fiscal responsibility.
Treadwell challenged fellow candidates to debates and said that no other candidate in the primary has served in an elected office.
