MCB Taking Public Testimony Today, Friday

The Marijuana Control Board is taking statewide public testimony on the full set of draft commercial regulations today, October 15, and Friday, October 16.

 

Alyson Stogsdill with the Kenai Legislative Information Office outlined when local residents can testify to the board.

 

Stogsdill: ” Today, Thursday the 15th, [they can sign up] just prior to 1 pm, Kenai’s testimony time is from 1 pm to 2 pm and it’s limited to three minutes per speaker. And then the hearing will continue into Friday, October 16, testimony from the Kenai area will be from 2:30 – 3:00 pm.”

 

She says the legislative office can also help anyone interested in submitting written testimony.

 

Stogsdill: “There are some specific things they ask to be included in written testimony.”

 

Written public testimony on the draft regulations closes on November 11 and the State of Alaska is set to adopt commercial marijuana regulations by November 24.

 

This is the last oral public testimony opportunity for the draft commercial marijuana regulations.
