Chugach National Forest officials are inviting the public to a meeting on the current forest plan revision process in Soldotna tonight.
That meeting will begin with a presentation from officials followed by themed stations set up for attendees to visit.
Those stations will provide information on specific topics up for change such as ecosystems and habitats, recreation and tourism, designated areas, and motorized access.
Topics were outlined in a 2012 planning rule and stem from over 600 public comments received during phase one of the Forest Plan Revision Process.
The proposed revised Forest Plan is scheduled for release in fall of 2015 and during tonight’s meeting officials will share the next steps in the process.
That meeting will begin at 6 pm at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex and last until 8 pm.
