Local American Legions in Kenai and Soldotna hold Memorial Day Services each year to remember those who have served.
This year on Monday, May 25, Memorial Day will have two local services.
The Avenue of Flags will be held at the Kenai City Cemetery at 10:30 am followed by a memorial service beginning at noon at the Leif Hansen Memorial Park.
At 2:00 pm the Avenue of Flags will happen once more at the Soldotna City Cemetery.
Memorial Day is the day to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to honor our freedoms.
