Senator Peter Micciche is hosting a legislative town hall meeting tomorrow and inviting the public to come and discuss their concerns or opinions of the district during this legislative session.
We spoke to Sen. Micciche who encouraged friends and constituents to stop by and have their voice heard.
Sen. Micciche: “So tonigh, Friday night, we’ll be in Homer from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Homer City Council Chambers and we’re expecting a lively group down there and then of course we encourage folks to join us tomorrow from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Chambers, we just picked a centralized location, when we get back from the session we will have it in other areas in the district.”
The Soldotna area meeting will take place on Saturday, March 8th at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Chambers at 144 N. Binkley St. in Soldotna from 1:00-3:00pm.
Sen Micciche: “We really encourage folks to come out, learn about some things and bring their concerns and ya know if you have any praise you can bring that as well but generally we hear more from folks with concerns. We look forward to hearing from folks and seeing them there, there will be pizza and refreshments to hopefully get a little bit larger crowd and we look forward to seeing you Saturday afternoon.”
The first hour will be for general discussion. The second hour will be a brief presentation covering current Legislative issues, followed by a “question and answer” period.
