Mid-September Weekend Features A Full High School Sports Schedule

All fall sports are in full swing with cross country running tapering for next week’s Region III championships, volleyball featuring three days of road games, swimmers heading to the Kenai Invitational and week six of the high school football season.

 

Volleyball Teams On The Road

Kenai and SoHi will compete in Northern Lights Conference pairings against Valley schools for three days of volleyball action.

…Thursday, September 15th:  SoHi @ Wasilla; KCHS @ Colony

…Friday, September 16th: SoHi @ Palmer; KCHS @ Wasilla

….Saturday, September 17th: SoHi @ Colony; KCHS @ Palmer

Nikiski travels for Southcentral Conference contest at ACS on Friday and Joe Redington on Saturday

 

Kenai Invitational Swimming & Diving meet

Region III swim programs will compete in the Kenai Invitational Swimming & Diving Meet at the Kenai Pool.

…Friday diving begins at 3:10 in the Kenai Pool

…Saturday events begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Kenai Pool

 

Cross Country Runners Head For The Spit

As a break between major competitions, the Homer Spit Time Trials will be contested on the Homer Spit on Saturday.  High school runners will compete in the “fun run” event with the Region III championships scheduled for next Saturday, September 24th on the Tsalteshi Trials.

 

Football Enters Week Six Of The Regular Season

Kenai and Nikiski will host home football games and the Soldotna Stars are on “The Rock” for high school football on Saturday, September 17th.
