On July 29, raised water levels in the Kenai River led to the State Department of Transportation working to correct erosion problems near Mile 57 of the Sterling Highway.

Mccarthy: “And that is definitely considered an emergency repair, in terms of what the future repairs will look like I don’t know yet.”
She said more long-term repairs may happen next year.
