Miners Sweep ABL Top of the World Series

The Mat-Su Miners, for a second-straight season, capture the Alaska Baseball League Top of the World Series with a two-game sweep of the Anchorage Bucs in the best of three championship pairing.  The Miners also won the ABL regular season with a league best 27-17 conference record.

 

The Miners sweep the Bucs with a pair of home victories; downing the Bucs on Saturday 1-0 and beating the Anchorage Bucs 7-1 on Sunday.

 

Miners 7 – Bucs 1   Sunday

The Miners opened with a five-run, first inning and cruised to a 7-1 victory and the 2018 ABL championship.

Miners 1 – Bucs 0  Saturday

The Miners Spenser Henson knocked a solo home run in the fourth inning, recording the only run of the series opener between the Miners and Bucs.
