More Space and Vendors for Taste of the Kenai This Saturday

This year the Taste of the Kenai moved it’s location to the Sterling Community Center in order to sell more tickets and as a result has more vendors.

 

The space at the Commnity Center allowed the Kenai Peninsula Tourism Marketing Council to sell one hundred more tickets this year compared to previous years but the event still sold out yesterday.

 

KPTMC Executive Director Shannon Hamrick spoke about the other added benefits of the extra space.

Hamrick: “Well we do have more vendors this year, we actually have 19 different vendors. And this is truly a peninsula wide event. We have vendors from Seward, from Cooper Landing, from Ninilchik, and from Homer. Wasabi’s is actually coming from Homer this year as is the Chart Room Restaraunt. And in addition to that, this is the first year that we are actually drawing people as attendees all the way from Anchorage and Eagle River.”

 

At the Taste of the Kenai, there will be a live auction, door prizes, a raffle and vendors will be able to compete for the best entree, best drink, and the best dessert.
