The City of Soldotna will be kicking off winter break for school children and adults alike with a movie in Soldotna Creek Park Friday night.
Joel Todd with Soldotna’s Parks and Recreation Department says the featured movie will be Minions.
Todd: “There’s no school on Friday, it’s the first day of winter break so we’re hoping to kick off the holidays with a good family fun event for everyone to come out to. It’s free, we’ll have the campfires up and running and we’re encouraging people to dress warm and bring chairs, snacks, hot drink, whatever they want to bring.”
The movie will begin at 6:30 pm.
Todd says the ice skating pathways will not be ready for this movie but the department plans to make those in January so they will be available for the next three movies put on by Parks and Rec.
