Multiple Guns Stolen From Nikiski Residence

Long-haul truck driver and Nikiski resident Jim Klinkner was on a delivery to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when a friend reported to him that his home had been burglarized.

Klinkner: “And he said well we’re standing here at your place and your window’s been broke out, not really broke out but somebody actually pried the window open and pried the frame apart and they climbed in through the RV trailer that I have set up out north on one of my properties. They stole my gun cabinet, my guns, my GPS, I had cell phones inside the gun cabinet and I had a bunch of hunting clothing that is no longer there.”

 

Klinkner said his friend had checked his place two weeks ago and everything was fine.

 

He’s owned the property since 2008 and said he never had a problem with anything go missing until now.

Klinkner: “Everybody out in Nikiski has been suffering from these rash of burglaries over the last few years and I took precautions but I guess I didn’t take enough.”

 

He said he is still out of state but has already taken precautions to make his property more secure and will follow up with the troopers when he is back in state.
