NAHL Releases 2021 Hockey Schedule: Brown Bears To Play 24 In-State Games

With the addition of the Anchorage Wolverines to the NAHL Junior A Midwest Division for 2021-22, the Kenai River Brown Bears will extend its in-state schedule to 24 games and its in-state competition to include the Fairbanks Ice Dogs and the Wolverines.

 

Kenai River opens the regular season on the road at the Chippewa Steel in Wisconsin on September 10th.  The Brown Bears will play six road contests, including a pair of games on October 1st & 2nd in Fairbanks against the Ice Dogs, before their home opener on October 21st against the Chippewa Steel at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex. The Brown Bears first games against the newly-formed Anchorage Wolverines will be on home ice at the SRSC on November 5th & 6th.

 

The adopted North American Hockey League schedule for the Kenai River Brown Bears includes 12 games against the Ice Dogs and 12 games against the Wolverines, six at home and six on the road per opponent,  The Anchorage Wolverines will play based at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage.  The Midwest Division for 2011-22 will include the Brown Bears, Wolverines, Fairbanks Ice Dogs, Janesville (Wisconsin) Jets, Chippewa (Wisconsin) Steel, Minnesota Magicians, Minnesota Wilderness and Springfield (Illinois) Jr. Blues.
