Napoleon Remains Unbeaten With 11-0 Win Over Twins

The Napoleon Post 300 River Bandits from Ohio have not allowed a run in three games of the 2022 Bill Miller/Lance Coz Wood Bat Tournament posting an 11-0 shutout of previously unbeaten Kenai Post 20 in the second day of competition at Coral Seymour Memorial Park on Wednesday.

 

Napoleon 11 – Twins 0

The River Bandits from Ohio allowed only two hits and no runs in a five inning, run-rule 11-0 victory over the Kenai Post 20 Twins in a pairing between tournament unbeatens.

Napoleon scored two runs in the first inning and added four runs in the second, three runs in the third and two runs in the fourth inning; all on 10 hits.

Riley Johnson pitched 3.1 innings for the Twins and surrendered 11 runs, nine earned to the River Bandits.  Jacob Belger and Gabe Smith recorded the only hits for the Twins.

Napoleon and Kenai will play again on Thursday in the championship game at 9 a.m.

 

Minnesota Post 270 Cobras 22 – Bartlett 0

Minnesota defeated Bartlett 22-0 on Wednesday in second day action.  Minnesota with a 2-1 record will play Bartlett in the third place game on Thursday as the twns own the head-to-head tiebreaker over Minnesota.

Championship Game: Kenai Post 20 2-1) vs Napoleon Post 300 (3-0)   9 a.m.

3rd Place Game:  Bartlett vs Minnesota Post 270    Following championship game.

( Game times have been moved earlier to allow teams to travel ).
