Native Youth Olympics Set For Weekend: Local Kids Encouraged To Participate

The 2015 Peninsula Winter Games Kenaitze Indian Tribe Native Youth Olympics Invitational is scheduled for three-days of competition at Kenai Middle School beginning Friday, January 23rd and running through Sunday, January 25th.

Local kids are encourage to participate and try the wide variety of athletic events.

The Junior Division is for grades 1st-6th; the Senior Division for grades 7th-12th.

5:00pm Coaches meeting

5:45pm Opening ceremony

6:00pm Scissor broad jump (Juniors) and one-hand reach (seniors)

7:30pm Alaskan high kick

Saturday, January 24, 2015

8:00am Coaches meeting

8:30am 2-foot high kick

9:30am Arm pull (juniors) and toe kick (seniors)

11:30am Lunch (on your own)

12:30pm Kneel jump

1:30pm Eskimo stick pull

3:00pm One-foot high kick

5:30pm Potluck dinner (open to the public at Kenai Middle School Commons)

7:30pm PAMYUA in concert at Kenai Central High School Auditorium
