New Features Coming to AK LNG Website

The website for the Alaska LNG Project is getting an overhaul to include new features about the proposed gasline.

Project Community Stakeholder Advisor Josselyn O’Connor…

O’Connor: “There’s a really, super-cool, interactive map tool where you’ll be able to fly over the pipeline route that we’re working on. In addition we’re going to include more information about the project and look forward to that coming online in the next few weeks ahead.”

This work follows a successful 2015 field season that is wrapping up in Nikiski. That included installing 20 monitoring wells, digging 14 test pits, and completing nearly 100,000 feet of deep geophysical testing.

Two local community meetings about the proposed project over the past two months have garnered well over 400 attendees combined.

Further meetings about various elements of the Alaska LNG Nikiski facility are tentatively scheduled for early 2016.
