Kornelis: “The roofing is underway at our Sports Complex. The roofing contractor is up there, really moving quickly and taking advantage of some good weather, having to pause when the period rains come through, but that’s been a pretty fast and active project. We’re excited to have that new roof on there soon.”
The existing roof was more than 30 years old. The City received a state grant for the roof replacement in July of 2014 for $1.2 million. They later added another $120,000.
