In a rearranged bracket, the Nikiski Bulldog girls recorded a first-round victory on Thursday at the 2022 Grace Grizzlies Hardwood Classic Basketball Tournament at Grace Christian School in Anchorage.
Nikiski 32 – Glennallen 25
The Nikiski girls turned in a strong third quarter setting-up a 32-25 victory over Glennallen. The game was even at the half at 11-11. Nikiski built as much as a 10-point lead; however, Glennallen closed to within three points with 1:30 remaining. Shelby Burman lead Nikiski with 10 points, including the final four points of the game.
Nikiski advances to a winner’s-bracket game on Friday against the host Grace Christian Grizzlies. Game time scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
