Nikiski Volleyball Defends Home Court For Tournament Repeat

The Bulldog volleyball team captured its second-straight Shayna Pritchard Memorial Volleyball Tournament as the host Nikiski held off a championship game challenge from the Kenai Kardinals.

 

The Bulldogs girls down Kenai in the title game two games to one in the best 2 of 3 format.  The Kardinal girls took a one-game lead, winning the first game 25-23.  The Bulldogs rallied to take game two 25-10 and claimed the title with a 15-3 victory in game three.

Nikiski finishes first followed by Kenai, Homer,Eielson, Ketchikan and Redington.

 

Nikiski volleyball posts its second tournament championship of the early 2018 season, adding the Shayna Pritchard title to the Homer Jamboree victory last week.  In both tournaments, Nikiski faced Kenai in the title game.

Soldotna Volleyball Downs Seward

The SoHi volleyball team traveled to Seward and recorded a non-conference 3-1 victory over the Seahawks.  SoHi won 26-24, 22-25, 28-26 and 25-22.
