The Nikolaevsk Warriors Mixed 6 volleyball team split a pair of Pool B games in the opening round of the ASAA Mixed 6 Volleyball State Championships at Dimond High School in Anchorage.
The Warriors defeated Hoonah 2-0; then fell to Noatak 2-0 for a 1-1 pool play record, good enough to advance into the bracketed portion of the state volleyball tournament.
Eight teams advance to Friday and Saturday’s two-day format.
Nikolaevsk will face Kodiak ESS in the 1:30 p.m. game on Friday. Check the attached bracket for game schedule.

Denali Conference Tournament Recap
The Nikolaevsk Warriors Mixed 6 volleyball team captured the Denali Conference championship last weekend, the tournament held in Nikolaevsk, to advance to the ASAA Mixed 6 Volleyball State Championships. with competition beginning on Thursday, December 8th at Dimond High School in Anchorage.
