The Ninilchik Invitational Basketball Tournament opened play on Thursday, February 17th with a field including girls and boys teams from Klawock, Tri-Valley and Ninilchik and the Bristol Bay boys.
The tournament brackets have been revised with the absence of the Bristol Bay girls.

…The Ninilchik boys built a 56-16 lead at the half en route to a 93-35 win over Tri-Valley. Cole Moore lead the Wolverines with 24 points and Jaylin Scott added 18 points.

The three-day, round-robin tournament runs Thursday through Saturday in the Ninilchik School gym. Klawock, Tri-Valley and Bristol Bay represent 1A basketball and Ninilchik, reclassified in 2021-22, now stands in 2A basketball.
