The 2022 Northern Lights Conference Softball Championships, featuring two days of double-elimination softball tournament play, opens Friday, May 27th and continues through Saturday, May 28th with all games played at the Soldotna Fields.
The Soldotna Stars earn the #4 seed and the Kenai Kardinals earn the #5 seed, which sets-up a first-round pairing between the two local programs.
The SoHi vs Kenai game opens the tournament at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
The final regular standings in the NLC are as follows:
- Kodiak (10-0)
- Homer (7-3) – receives the tiebreaker over Palmer (record against common opponents outside of region)
- Palmer (7-3)
- Soldotna (4-6)
- Kenai (1-9) – receives the tiebreaker over Houston (head to head competition throughout the season)
- Houston (1-9)
