A Willow man walked away uninjured after a tractor-trailer rollover on the Sterling Highway early Wednesday morning.

According to Alaska State Troopers, the crash happened around 12:47 a.m. near milepost 53.5. Troopers say 41-year-old Kenneth Arthur Hammonds was driving a 2007 Kenworth tractor hauling double trailers when he lost control while coming out of a curve. The vehicle combination rolled off the southbound side of the highway.

Hammonds was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. Troopers said neither alcohol nor any impairing substances were factors.

The tractor sustained substantial damage and was disabled, Troopers said.
