Nordic skiers from throughout the Kenai Peninsula competed at the SoHi Invitational Nordic Ski Meet on Saturday on the Tsalteshi Trails, under continued COVID-19 mitigation measures (see photo of start area).
Skiers competed in a 7.5-kilometer skate-style race with each team on the course separately to limit inter-team contact and each skier starting at 1:00 intervals.
The top skiers from each program never skied against each other, as individual results were combined and calculated by computer to determine individual placings and team scores.
Kenai’s Jayna Boonstra and Jack Laker posted the fastest individual times over the Tsalteshi course.
SoHi Invitational Girls Results
Kenai’s Jayna Boonstra posted the fastest girls individual time completing the 7.5K course in 22:18. SoHi’s Katie Delker placed second with a 23:22 and SoHi’s Erika Arthur placed third with a 23:39.

SoHi Invitational Boys Results
Kenai’s Jack Laker topped the boys field with a time of 19:50 over the 7.5K Tsalteshi Trails course. SoHi’s Quinn Cox placed second with a 20:11 and Kenai’s Tyler Hippchen placed third with a 20:15.
