Nordic skiers get their first taste of competition and a chance to compete on fresh trails; as high school skiers travel to Homer’s Lockout Mountain for the End of the Road Challenge nordic ski race on Saturday.
Skate technique racing will begin on Saturday with the JV girls at 11:00 a.m. followed by the Varsity girls at 11:20 a.m.; JV boys at 11:40 a.m.; and Varsity boys at 12:10 p.m.
Lookout Mountain is located 10 miles from Homer High School at Mile 2 of Ohlsen Mountain Road.
