North Sweeps South In Conference Hockey

Saturday proved a rough road day for the Kenai Kardinals and Soldotna Stars in Railbelt Conference hockey action in the Valley.  Both teams closed their road swings with losses on Saturday.

 

Kenai 0 – Houston 5

Houston continues to be the team to beat in the Railbelt Conference with the Hawks recording a 5-0 shut out of the Kardinals on Saturday morning in Big Lake.  In goal for Kenai, Kate Harris recorded 17 saves for the Kardinals.

 

SoHi 1 – Palmer 4

The Soldotna Stars managed only a single goal against Palmer in a 4-1 loss to the Moose on Saturday.  Silas Larsen staked the Stars a 1-0 lead with 2:48 left in the first period; that proved to be SoHi’s only goal.  Ayden See recorded 17 saves in goal for SoHi.

 

The Kenai Kardinals host the Soldotna Stars on Tuesday night at the Kenai Multi-Purpose Facility with the game time scheduled for 7 p.m.
