The official public open house for the Central Peninsula Hospital’s new specialties clinic building will be held this weekend.

Rick Davis: “On March 26, Saturday, from noon to 2:00 pm. It’ll be open to the public, there will be some refreshments and displays and the public is welcome to come and take a walk through it.”

That was CPH CEO Rick Davis who we’ve checked in with often as the building was constructed over the last two years.

He says technically the building was open to the public during the last month or so but the hospital wanted to wait until more physicians got moved in and settled into their offices before having the official open house.

The new space includes a spine center as well physical therapy, endoscopy suites, and part of the cancer center.

As we previously reported, last September the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly approved a $3 million revenue bond sale to keep the Specialty Clinic Expansion Project on target.
